Benchmarking

Before starting to do the benchmarking of companies that are currently addressing the challenge that they have decided to face, we must define our target.
The most used social networks today are based on the continuous contact with the people around you. Whether through messaging (WhatsApp), through social interaction platforms (Facebook) or informative (Twitter), as a way to share your day to day (Instagram), as a form of entertainment (Youtube), or to show you to the professional world (LinkedIn).

Once we know how to define our target, we have to locate our users as accurately as possible.

Today there are more than 2000 million users worldwide who have a minimal presence on the Internet, 86% of whom between 16 and 55 years use social networks. Within this range, our users are divided into:

Once we have located and located our customers, we can start doing a benchmarking analysis. This addiction is a really new one, so there are some people who do not even treat it as addiction. 

That is why today there is not much help against this problem. The most that a person addicted to technology can opt for is addiction care centers (but not specialized to the needs that a user may have), or sessions with psychologists.
Looking at possible ways to combat this addiction, mainly is made by articles from different sites that try to help the users fight this addiction, but, as far as the research we've done, there is no, or at least not notorious, entity that aims to fight technology addiction, and as such, we will be entering a fresh market with not as many competitors, thing that will make our live a little bit easier.
