In TechLessTalkMore, we are focused on finding a solution to end with tech addiction, more specifically phone addiction.
Broad Goal
We’ve already seen since the “boom” of the smartphones, how in many cases, trying to educate children and adults in a tech free environment is impossible, and in many cases the parents are also addicted to their phones, that’s why there is the need to find a solution.
Set of objectives
We are not against tech, we are in favour of it’s correct use. To make this change, the first objective is to make people realize they have a problem, like parents who are more with their phone than their children.
Once we get people to realize their problem, the next objective will be to tackle their addiction by educating them on how to have a tech healthy life.
The last objective will be finding a way to once they are educated and living a tech healthy life, make sure that they don’t fall again into the addiction, which is what usually happens with addiction.
Key Challenges
The most important challenge will be to make people realize they have an addiction problem. Most people links addiction with drugs/alcohol… but they never think about their phones, because that would be recognizing they are addicted.
The second challenge, is to find how can we, in the most user friendly way, make them reduce the amount of hours they are using their phone.
